You will serve as a Natural Resource Specialist with Bureau of Land Management. The work includes performing a variety of professional and technical functions related to natural resource management.
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Working with local groups to promote and sustain cooperative conservation interests and volunteerism Assisting in the collection, entering and maintenance of natural resources monitoring data according to prescribed BLM and program standards Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Database Management Systems (i.e., Access, Excel) Accomplishing field surveys and leading or assisting in providing on-the-job training to seasonal or other employees to accomplish natural resources inventory, and project implementation Assisting in the preparation and review of environmental compliance documents
This position has a mandatory education requirement. You must submit a copy of your transcript(s) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience. Transcripts must include your name, school name, grades, credit hours earned, major(s), grade point average or class ranking, and date the degree was conferred, if applicable.
