Job Summary

As a Supervisory National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (LB Technical Team Lead), you will serve as an expert resource providing advanced technical leadership for complex supervisory tasks, primarily in Credit (Commercial & Retail) and Capital Markets. In this role, you will apply expert judgment to plan examinations and direct subordinate examiners. Major Duties

As a Supervisory National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner and Technical Team Lead, you will: Serve as lead examiner by providing technical guidance and leadership for supervisory activities in designated Capital Markets and Credit (Commercial and Retail) risk areas within the Large and Global Financial Institutions (LGFI) portfolio. Investigate and resolve highly complex supervisory issues requiring advanced technical analysis, expert judgment, and participation in high-visibility assignments. Plan, coordinate, and monitor risk-specific supervisory activities by assessing risks, developing supervisory strategies, determining examination scope, directing assigned personnel, independently evaluating bank functions, identifying systemic risks, recommending changes to examination policies, and implementing the OCC's Supervision by Risk program. Lead supervisory activities involving Capital Markets by evaluating trading strategies and products, treasury and balance sheet management, asset securitization, and associated risk management and reporting; Commercial Credit by evaluating commercial and industrial lending, commercial real estate, small business lending, leveraged lending, portfolio valuation, stress testing, underwriting, and credit risk management; and Retail Credit by evaluating residential mortgages, auto loans, student loans, credit cards, home equity lines of credit (HELOC), consumer loan underwriting, portfolio management, collections, credit line management, and consumer credit risk management and control systems. Lead examination staff in discussions with senior bank management regarding supervisory findings and recommendations; prepare complex communications; maintain effective internal OCC coordination; represent the OCC at industry and interagency meetings; and participate in Shared National Credit reviews and other cross-functional supervisory initiatives. Supervise staff and manage assigned functional or risk specialty activities by directing resources, establishing and evaluating performance expectations, recommending personnel actions, resolving administrative matters, and safeguarding agency equipment, sensitive information, and material resources.
