These positions are located at the Kayenta Service Unit, Inpatient Care Branch & Chinle Service Unit. The position coordinates professional and non-professional staff, oversees patient care activities, and implements programs and processes to improve quality of care across multiple clinical areas during non-administrative hours. Provide direct and emergency nursing care by assessing patients, recognizing serious or critical conditions, initiating appropriate interventions, administering medications and IV therapy, and documenting care in the Electronic Health Record. Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including consultation on complicated or critically ill patients, nursing rounds, staffing decisions, conflict management, and evaluation of patient care and safety needs.
Coordinate administrative and supervisory nursing activities across Emergency, Medical-Surgical, Intensive Care, Operating Room/Recovery, Pediatric, Obstetrical, and Ambulatory Care units in the absence of unit supervisors.
Support quality improvement and regulatory compliance by participating in performance-improvement activities, maintaining standards of care, supporting accreditation and CMS requirements, completing required reports and training, and participating in Hospital Incident Command System activities.
