This position is located at the Blackfeet Service Unit, Division of Nursing Services within the Indian Health Service. Performs home visits, conducts individual and group education classes, and teaches through demonstration. Provides programs of maternal health care, child health care and adult health care.
Counsels and refers individual clients and families to available health services. Participates in community-based groups for public health promotion and disease prevention.

Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. IHS may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for their directly related previous non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave.
