This position is located at the Chinle Service Unit, Division of Quality Management, Employee Health Department, Chinle, AZ. Provides employee health and safety services, including emergency care, hazard prevention, health screenings, immunization compliance, fit testing, exposure reporting, and blood borne pathogen follow-up. The incumbent reports to the Infection Control Nurse Supervisor. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Registered Nurse Total Compensation | Pay (ihs.gov) Administers and oversees employee health programs, including immunization tracking, tuberculosis screening, influenza vaccination compliance, and infectious disease exposure follow-up for staff, contractors, students, and volunteers. Manages the Blood Borne Pathogen Program by coordinating exposure response activities, maintaining compliance documentation, counseling employees, and supporting infection prevention practices. Assists with the Respiratory Protection Program by conducting fit testing, medical clearances, employee training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and NIOSH requirements. Monitors employee safety incidents, workplace injuries, and occupational exposures while coordinating reporting, workers' compensation follow-up, and corrective actions with HR and Safety staff. Maintains employee health records and reporting systems, prepares compliance and immunization reports, updates policies and procedures, and provides employee health education across the Service Unit.
