Job Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.

https://youtu.be/NpaTtyybXFQ?si=IHyw-Bf27aaL4Wvz Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Use advanced clinical judgment to independently provide evidence-based treatment to Veterans with acute or chronic mental illness including use of psychotropic medications, psychotherapy, and other modalities. Provide patient and family education on medical/MH conditions, preventive measures, and prescribed treatments.

Demonstrate leadership and engage in collaboration with other MH and specialty care professionals while involving Veterans and their families (as appropriate), in treatment plan development. Assess and adjust the plan of care as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Counsel and treat patients with substance use disorders. Order and interpret labs, tests, and diagnostic studies. Initiate referrals and consults to specialty services.

The Veterans Health Administration, including VISN 19 and the Montana VA Health Care System, will comply fully with the intention and instructions contained in the "Return to Office" Executive Order.
