The Nursing Assistant (NA) will work within the Patient Care Service Line (PCSL) within the Community Living Center (CLC) and is an integral part of a team of nurses that provide care to long term care residents, end of life hospice veterans, and veterans with specific rehabilitation or skilled needs for a limited time frame.

Maintains required unit competencies to ensure safety and high-quality resident care. Supports a resident-centered care model and helps maintain a home-like environment. Performs restorative nursing care to promote residents' highest functional level, including provider-ordered programs such as walk-to-dine. Participates in recreation therapy activities to support socialization, engagement, and physical activity through planned events and outings. Performs other duties as assigned, commensurate with grade level. Work Schedule: Day shift is 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and night shift is 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM - the tour varies but will work alternating weekends and holidays Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year). Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience. Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
