This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Oversees and monitors employee's adherence to VHA Privacy / HIPAA and Information Security rules and regulations. Responsible for direct coordination of staffing, physical facilities, supplies and equipment for nursing services to patients on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis. Responsible for ensuring employees complete mandatory annual and on time facility and nursing training and reviews within mandated time frame. Responsible for ensuring annual Appraisals / Proficiencies are completed, communicated to the employees and submitted in a timely manner. Responsible for ensuring staff compliance with VAPAHCS and unit-based policies and procedures. Knowledgeable in the application and completes reports regarding policy and procedures that include but not limited to: staffing reconciliation, payroll exceptions, risk management, patient incident and personnel accident, EEO and sexual harassment allegations. Participates in designing, implementing, monitoring and revising systems to ensure the cost-effective use of resources including staffing effectiveness and enhance patient care utilizing System Redesign principles.
