Job Summary

This position is located with the Accountable Property & Support Services (APSS) Division of the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO), Mission Support. The ideal candidate for this position is knowledgeable in personal property management policies and procedures; personal property life cycle; familiarity with asset management systems of record, preferably the Sunflower Asset Management System.

Key Responsibilities

What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will review and understand department and agency policies and procedures necessary to ensure accurate accountability of personal property assets within a system of record, such as SAMS.

Typical assignments include: Ensuring the accountability for agency accountable and personal property in a system of record; Providing guidance, assistance, and training to HQ personal property stakeholders; Maintaining required property accounts and related records and controls for all personal property owned/leased by the agency or loaned to other offices, Federal or State agencies; and Updating property records and completing required property officer designations and inventory certifications What else do I need to know?

All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
