The official title of this position is Physical Security Specialist. The incumbent will serve in the Security Programs staff located in the Criminal Division, Office of Administration. The Security Programs staff is responsible for personnel security, physical security, information security, and emergency management programs in the Criminal Division.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Security Specialist, your duties will include: Assisting the subject matter expert for SCIF and secure area/room construction. Helps ensure SCIFs comply with all applicable construction and physical requirements, standards, and regulations as mandated from JMD or other oversight agencies. Acting as a system administrator for the physical access control system (PACS) and PIV card program.
Assisting in evaluating and developing classification management policies and implementing procedures for originators, recipients, and custodians of National Security Information (NSI), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Assisting in developing facility security plans and emergency plans. Assisting with maintaining the Division's security equipment to include badge readers, CCTVs and turnstiles.
