Job Summary

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Operations Support, Office of Laboratories and Scientific Services, located in Guaynabo, PR; Donna, TX; Memphis, TN; Anchorage, AK; Otay, CA; Long Beach, CA; and Newark, NJ. While serving as a Physical Scientist (General), your duties will include: Receiving samples submitted for analyses, reviews background material, performs preliminary examination of the samples; Organizing and writing test reports and briefings, articulating technical findings, interpretations, and conclusions; and Providing general advice to CBP employees on sampling and sample storage procedures.
