Major Duties

As a Physical Security Specialist, at the full performance level, you will perform the following duties: Serve as an agency representative to determine technical and functional requirements related to Physical Security and Evidence Certification and Compliance. Conduct physical security assessments and surveys at ICE facilities holding seized, evidentiary property for compliance with governance policies. Ensures all minimum facility physical security requirements governing temporary storage for evidence and seized property areas are effectively communicated to ICE Program Offices. Develop comprehensive assessment findings with supporting documentation to validate finding. Prepares correspondence and writing assessment reports Reviews facility security assessments focusing on the protection of evidence in compliance with Interagency Security Committee (ISC) standards and existing countermeasures to mitigate threats to include electronic and mechanical security systems consisting of physical access control systems (PACS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), video surveillance system (VSS), keys, locks, safes, and containers. Exercise responsibility for conducting on-site and virtual assessments and reporting. The salary range reflects the lowest and highest potential salary for this position.
