Job Summary

Major Duties

You will perform motorized or walking patrols of the installation.

Education

You may also qualify based on education OR combination of education and experience, in lieu of the one year specialized experience listed above, through ONE of the following: SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE (GS-04): Successfully completed two years of study at an accredited school above the high school level with at least 12 semester hours in police administration, police law and evidence, police investigation, criminology, law enforcement, general law, or similar subjects closely related to police work. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE (GS-05): Successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in Police Science or comparable degree program related to the work of the position. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal to one-hundred percent. Education cannot be used for Police Officer positions at the GS-06 and above.
