This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a Power Plant Senior Mechanic located at a dam and/or Hydroelectric power plants to accomplish mechanical maintenance, operation repair & modification of machinery & auxiliary equipment of the project with features of producing electricity, flood control & maintaining stream flow.
Key Responsibilities
Accomplishes routine and nonroutine maintenance, repair, modification replacement and major overhaul of mechanical equipment associated with output of electrical power and the timely release of flood water at a large hydroelectric generating plant.
