Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a mechanic who repairs, inspects, dispatches, operates, troubleshoots and maintains powered and non-powered ground support equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance on electrical power support systems. Checks equipment for fuel, lubricants, coolant, and battery water levels. - Performs major repair, replacement, and overhaul of power support system components such as diesel, multi-fuel, or gas turbine engines, and electrical accessories of engines. - Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Troubleshoots electrical power support equipment. Performs visual, auditory, and dimensional checks on system components such as engines and electrical accessories of engines to determine extent of wear and parts to be repaired or replaced. - Maintains records and documents actions. - Dispatches support equipment. Using appropriate towing vehicles, tows and postions equipment around aircraft and hangars by schedules or as directed.
Delivers serviceable equipment to the flight line.
