Key Responsibilities
As a PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF), GS-0101-11 you will: This position is located at the ANG Wing with/or without geographically separated units (GSU)/ ARNG Region located in a State that is divided into multiple regions (within the State) not servicing one specific BDE. This position serves as the implementer of the Integrated Primary Prevention (IPP) Program.
Due to the specialty nature of these roles this position reports to the Joint Force Headquarter Primary Prevention Officer. The primary purpose of this position is to implement and support integrated prevention programs. It collaboratively identifies, implements, and assesses public health-informed and evidence-based prevention policy, practices, programs and processes.
Supports healthy climate/culture to eliminate harassment, sexual violence, family violence and self-directed harm using a public health perspective and socio-ecological theoretical lens. This involves an integrated, multi-agency, and collaborative approach with other Wings/Regions, Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), and local programs with a nexus to integrated primary prevention (IPP) efforts.
