This position is to serve as a subject matter expert by supporting the Director of OAM, providing guidance regarding acquisition-related policy, Office of Management and Budget initiatives, acquisition workforce programs, procurement systems, and DOJ strategic acquisition priorities. The duties and responsibilities for a Procurement Analyst, GS-1102-14 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: * Oversee the development and/or recommends policies and procedures in the area of acquisition, to include formulating guidelines, implementing new developments.
* Develop, coordinate and maintain Department-level policy and Justice Management Division (Offices, Boards, and Divisions) policy and initiatives, regulations and guidance relative to acquisition.. * Prepare documentation for senior management with detailed data supporting various alternative courses of action. * Keep senior management advised on new/revised policy and procedures covering a variety of acquisition and management topics.
* Respond to inquiries regarding Federal acquisition regulations, acquisition procedures, and procurement systems.
Education must be reviewed and certified by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, in order for it to be creditable towards your qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from accredited institution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
