The primary purpose is: To serve as an Maintenance Operation Controller, in conjunction with the Production Superintendent, to assign priorities to aircraft production efforts, to direct action to resolve resource shortages, to maintain liaison among aircraft maintenance management, and to provide training to Air Force personnel in the accomplishment of tasks set forth.
Provides both present and projected status information to prescribed managerial personnel. Notes projected completion date, studies actual aircraft status and informs higher levels within chain of command when aircraft is to be mission ready. Through use of radio, telephone, intercom, e-mail, personal contact with production supervisors, technicians, review of work documents and statistical listings, determine status of aircraft.
As daily events occur, maintains MIS data integrity regarding maintenance flying schedule requirements. Accomplishes aircraft debriefing to ensure malfunctions identified by aircrews are properly reported and documented. Maintains liaison with Maintenance Coordinating Function (MCF) of the Command Post. Conducts training and skill level progression of Air Force personnel.
