The Program Analyst serves as a key member of the Athletics Finance team, providing program analysis and operational support for the financial and administrative activities of the Department of Athletics. The position supports multiple NCAA athletic programs by coordinating funding execution, purchasing, travel, budget tracking, operational reporting, and compliance activities.
While this position does not exercise financial, contracting, or procurement authority, it serves as a primary coordinator for Athletics financial support activities, ensuring actions are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with Academy, MARAD, and DOT policies and procedures.
The position requires close collaboration with coaches, Academy departments, and external stakeholders while managing multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment. The Program Analyst: Independently analyzes Athletics program trends, funding execution, and operational requirements to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Evaluates funding distribution across Athletics teams and activities to ensure alignment with program objectives and mission requirements. Serves as the Athletics program representative in discussions related to funding execution, travel operations, and resource planning. As assigned, analyzes Athletics-specific procedures related to program coordination and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Prepares briefings, reports, and presentations for senior Academy leadership and external stakeholders as required. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly organized and analytical professional with experience coordinating complex administrative, financial, and operational support functions in a fast-paced environment.
