The position is located within the VHA Office of Finance's Revenue Operations Consolidated Patient Account Center (CPAC) aligned under the RO/CPAC Internal Audit Manager with the position serving as the CPAC Internal Analyst.
Duties include but are not limited to: Conducts internal audits/reviews for CPAC processes to evaluate: Operations - Effectiveness and efficiency of operations; Reporting - Reliability of reporting for internal and external use; and Compliance - Compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Participates in the testing/review work groups, follows the testing/review programs or outlines, and arrives at the correct conclusion for operating/design and/or business processes.
Communicates internal control/business process concepts and control deficiencies to various Revenue Operations stakeholders and CPAC leadership. Applies Generally Accepted Audit Standards or other established standards when conducting internal audits. Provides input for control design effectiveness reports intended to improve the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
The primary responsibility of this position is to evaluate risk and internal Controls across Revenue Operations and all CPAC departments.
