The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Directorate's training manager, individual mobilization augmentee, program coordinator, resource advisor, and senior administrative support assistant.
Training Manager. Develops an Annual Training Plan (ATP) for Director approval. The ATP incorporates all Directorate training requirements for military personnel and civilians. Resource Advisor. Independently performs task involving budget execution by compiling resource data from various financial management reports. Establishes, maintains, and updates expenditures relative to funding activities. Administrative Duties.
Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains clerical and administrative office procedures and processes of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office. Serves as liaison between the supervisor and subordinate sections. individual mobilization augmentee (IMA) Program Coordinator. Administers the individual mobilizations augmentation program for assigned reservists and non-assigned volunteers.
Establishes a budget and tracks usage of Military Personnel Appropriation (MPA) man-day tours. Oversees the Directorate's performance report and the awards & recognition programs. Ensures Directorate personnel are aware and comply with policies, procedures, and requirements for officer/enlisted/civilian performance reports.

Appointment of military members before the release or discharge date is permissible if the member is on terminal leave. At the time the active duty member applies for a civil position, he or she must submit a "certification" memo in lieu of a DD-Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
Active duty members applying for a civil service position without submitting a valid certification memo or DD-Form 214 with their application will render the member ineligible for the position.
The certification memo must originate from the member's military service branch on official letterhead and contain the following: Name/Rank/Grade of Service Member Branch of Armed Forces Dates of Active Service (Start and End Date(s) Expected Date of Discharge/Release from Active Duty Terminal leave start date (if applicable) Expected character of service (honorable or general) and type of separation (i.e.
separation or retirement) Must be certified within 120 days of anticipated discharge Signature by, or by direction of the adjutant, personnel office, unit commander, or higher headquarters commander.
