Job Summary

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Office of Executive Assistant Commissioner, HQ Support Division, located in Washington, DC Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will serve as a second line Supervisory Program Manager over a major program area and/or critical program segment for which the scope and effect of the work have department-wide or government-wide impact. This position starts at a salary of $169,279.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $197,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10).

Typical duties include: Managing and directing all operations and facilities related to programs, policies, and new and continuing initiatives of OFO with operational functions that are worldwide Directing staff, in coordination with the EAC/senior leadership, to take necessary corrective steps or to make modifications to proposals ensuring compliance with policies or to provide improved results Determining programs that require closer review and evaluation Identifying operating problems, conflicting priorities, program deficiencies, and potential problem areas Serving as second line supervisor and directing subordinate supervisors concerning professional, technical, administrative, or comparable work GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area.
