This position is located in the Government Accountability Office GAO), Strategic Planning and External Liaison (SPEL) unit. As a Program Manager you will be responsible for providing strategic focus for GAO's work, building networks and relationships, facilitating innovation and collaboration, and strengthening capacity through sharing knowledge both within GAO and with other public and private sector organizations.
As a Program Manager, PT- 0340- 3, your typical work assignments may include the following: Manages the GAO International Auditor Fellowship Program (IAFP) by overseeing the recruitment of participants; planning all aspects of training coursework and events; securing living accommodations for the international participants; validating that participants have appropriate visas and that other requirements are met; and ensuring the participants' transition and experience in the U.S.
is seamless. Serves as a key representative for the IAFP, who acts on behalf of SPEL and GAO at both internal and external meetings; communicates the various phases, priorities, purposes, and procedures necessary to maintain the success of the program to leaders and managers throughout the GAO and with external entities; and identifies key issues to the Director of International Relations.
Develops, evaluates, implements, and supports meaningful performance objectives and measures that are aligned with program strategy. Analyzes emerging issues to recommend structural improvements and ensure long-term program stability for all stakeholders. Leverages deep research capabilities to draft justification papers that secure project buy-in and drive program execution.

The posted pay range is $117929 – $187680/yr.
