Job Summary

The Marion VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Program Specialist to join Care Management and Social Work Service. The incumbent will serve as a staff member that directly supports the Contract Nursing Home (CNH) Program and is responsible for planning, organizational development, and evaluation of service operations. The incumbent serves as the primary administrative resource to the Contract Nursing Home Program Coordinator and to the Contract Nursing Home Program.

Major Duties

The incumbent will provide administrative leadership support and guidance to the Contract Nursing Home (CNH) Program Coordinator, CNH Program staff and Care Management & Social Work (CM&SW) Service Supervisor for Geriatric & Extended Care (GEC) Community Care. The incumbent will combine management skills and a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements with exceptional interpersonal skills and an unparalleled focus on customer service, demonstrate prudent management acumen, resource accountability, and effective program execution. The incumbent develops the framework for all system processes within the CNH Program related to planning, directing, monitoring, and improving all administrative functions. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: Position may be eligible for ad-hoc telework, at managers discretion. Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
