The purpose of this position is to directly assist the Associate Chief of Staff for Research and the Administrative Officer in acquisition of research resources, coordination, management and oversight of the Research program within a medical facility.

Major Duties: Ensures that the medical research program not only meets federal oversight requirements but exceeds federal requirements to meet additional AAALAC accreditation standards. Works with members of the health care team that conduct and oversee medical research activities, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and administrators. Manages technical aspects of budget maintenance, forecasting for multiple, unique research investigator accounts.
Purchases specialized research supplies and equipment and maintains the research equipment inventory. Submits actionable contract packets for contract award. Coordinates to ensure Research positions are advertised, recruited and filled. Contract Officer Representative (COR) certification preferred.
