This position is located within the Geriatric and Extended Care Services at the Thomas E. Creek Veteran Health System. The position provides administrative support to the programs and requires working with an diverse group of professionals, network/VISN, and national administrative staff.
Administrative and Management Support: Provides administrative, clerical, program, and technical assistance in the areas of day to day operations and program planning/evaluation to assist staff with understanding processes, regulations, and SOPs for the GEC program. Comprehensive tracking of programmatic needs to ensure timely completion and resolution. Establishes and continually reviews and updates complex administrative procedures.
Evaluates procedures and determines when changes need to be made. Participates and provides input during team meetings to resolve problems on operational issues or procedures. Provide training, guidance, clerical assistance to staff for programs available to them. Data Collection and Tracking Support: Responsible for admission paperwork and tracking. Responsible for discharge paperwork to be inputted into various systems.
Corrects and resolves inconsistencies with patient data. Reviews incoming data from a variety of sources. Makes programmatic recommendations based on data review and data collection. Maintains pertinent data in support of program activities both within and outside the VA.
Maintains automated system of program-specific data to track items such as completed transfers, patient transfer status, liaison activity, project milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments and compliance strategies. Research/Program Resource Services and Support: Manage and maintain information related to patient risk/priority status and assist with quick execution of emergency response. Educates staff and facilitates opportunities for patient education.
Conducts basic analysis data and makes programmatic recommendations. Assists with special projects and proposals. Resolves and addresses a wide variety of specialized problems. Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday Telework: This position may be authorized for Ad Hoc telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
