Job Summary

This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, OJS, Assoc Dir-Support Services in Location Negotiable After Selection, United States.

Key Responsibilities

As Property Management Specialist, GS-2001, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Providing advice and guidance on all matters concerning property management as it pertains to firearms, acquisition and disposal. Reviewing and analyzing policy and procedural directives for applicability to property management programs. Responsible for property accountability, inventory and disposition of assets as they pertain to firearms and fleets.

Analyzing and evaluates field reviews to confirm that personal assets (firearms) and fleet are properly accounted for in Bureau's financial automated systems and vehicle usage is appropriate monitored. Completing all reports concerning personal property (firearms) and fleet management as required by the Bureau, and the Department. Developing position papers and other decision papers on a variety of property and fleet management issues.

Applying a wide variety of analytical methods, techniques, and processes in conducting studies in areas where the direction, limits, and techniques involved cannot be established in advance. Developing formal and informal briefings and make presentations to senior management on personal property (firearms) and fleet matters.
