This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) Therapist will be a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team and have primary responsibility for the delivery of evidenced-based psychotherapy Duties include, but are not limited to: Provide individual and group evidence-based treatment for Veterans with a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions.
Provide crisis intervention and stabilization, which may include facilitating connections to higher levels of care (e.g., emergency department) for patient safety. Conduct all three components of measurement based care: collect patient reported outcome measures, share results with Veterans, and act on the basis of those findings. Use telemental health and face to face modalities to provide psychological services to Veterans.
Promote communication between team members, patients, and their families to facilitate recovery-oriented treatment. Actively participate in BHIP team huddles and through electronic communication (e.g., TEAMs chat). Engage in implementation of the national BHIP Collaborative Care Model, including following standard operating procedures and contributing to continuous improvement efforts in the BHIP.
