This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

This position supervises is to directly supervise 4 therapist (PHD, MFT, LPMHC) and to provide indirect supervision of therapy programing of 2 SW who fall under the SW org chart for the RTP and any Peer Support specialists serving Veterans in the Residential treatment programs.
Duties may include, but are not limited to: Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees Develops performance standards Evaluates work performance of subordinates Coordinates services offered to Veterans and their families enrolled in the program.
Services include assessment, medication management, crisis intervention, educational, individual, family, and group treatment, case management and specialized psychological testing.
Formulates, interprets, and implements policies and procedures pertaining to quality mental health care in a mental health program to assure compliance with internal and external performance standards Develops effective programs and treatment strategies for mental health program patients and their families Holds faculty appointment at affiliated university (assistant Professor, Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry) Involved in the training of Psychology Externs, Interns or Fellows Provides leadership, guidance and consultation on staff education and development.
Research responsibility for timely completion of all program evaluations and documents required by the Medical Center, VISN and VACO, ensuring compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies such as Joint Commission.
