Job Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D2382000 and is part of the 105TH AW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Key Responsibilities
As a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST, GS-1035-11, you will carry-out a wide range of public affairs assignments that include elements of visual information, social media, media operations, community engagement, command information, communication planning, contingency/crisis response, environmental, security, policy review, and public affairs resource management in support of the mission and the commander's priorities.
The position modifies standard methods, evaluates the effectiveness of information, and adapts approaches in developing new informational materials aimed at enhancing the understanding of recipients.
Requirements & Education
If you are using Education to qualify for this position: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in related field or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in related field. or LL.M., if related Graduate Education: Education at the graduate level (above a bachelor's degree) in an accredited college or university. You must provide Official Transcripts as documentation to support your Educational claims.
To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
