This position starts at a salary of $57,736.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $91,815.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $91,815 (GS-9 Step 10). You will serve as a Public Affairs Specialist responsible for preparing, coordinating, editing, and posting content regarding CBP's programs, objectives, and mission on CBP's social media accounts.
Your primary responsibilities will be to draft content for CBP's social media accounts and to conduct daily social media listening of conversations around CBP and CBP-relevant topics. Work responsibilities include the following; Draft, edit, and coordinate content for CBP social media accounts to communicate the agency's programs,objectives, and mission to the public.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to implement social media campaigns, engagement tactics, and brand awareness initiatives across various digital platforms. Conduct daily social media listening to analyze public discussions, identify information gaps, and address rumors or misinformation regarding CBP and topics such as illegal immigration.
