About the Position: Serves as a Public Safety Telecommunicator (Office Automation) for dispatching Fire, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Law Enforcement (LE) responders, monitoring alarms and activating Mass Notification Systems in Army Garrison Public Safety Answering Points/911 Centers. Key Responsibilities
Provide emergency services to the public by answering emergency 911 calls and responding with appropriate personnel and equipment.
Requirements & Education
Some federal positions allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position, you may only substitute education for experience at the GS-05 level only. These substitutions are outlined above in the qualifications section.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
