This position is in Research and Development Service at VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, Nashville, TN. The incumbent is part of the management team, responsible for planning and executing R&D programs that improve veteran healthcare. Under the direction of the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) and Administrative Officer (AO), the incumbent coordinates the annual R&D budget (~$14M) and serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
Major duties include: Purchasing and supply support; Coordinate Electronic Inventory Listing (EIL) activities for the service; Maintain records for each assigned contract under the oversight of the Contracting Officer; Oversees stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels to include revision to those acceptable stock levels and reorder points; Procurement of both routine and non-routine expendable research laboratory and animal procedure related supplies and equipment; Performs a full range of procurement duties utilizing manual data, and the IFCAP automated procurement system. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for ad-hoc telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
