About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Buckner and Elmendorf Fitness Center Pool on JBER, AK. Applications are open to ages 16 and older. Applicants will be reviewed and referred every week until the close of this announcement. Flexible employees schedules depend on the needs of the activity and may be subject to "on call" work in addition to hours posted on the schedule.
You may work 0 hours per week up to 40 hours per week.
Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons. Ensures the swimming area is open to patrons at scheduled times and only authorized persons are admitted to the area. Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed. Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions.
When working at pools, may operate water pumps and control chemical additives to ensure pool water meets specified standards. Ensures that diving boards, swimming equipment, and deck area are inspected frequently for cracks, loose matting, debris or hazards and that necessary repairs and notification(s) are made.
