The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Teen Program Coordinator with responsibility for oversight of a diverse range of educational, recreational, fitness, and leisure programs aimed at promoting and enhancing the physical, social, and emotional development of eligible teens ages 13-18.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and implements a developmentally appropriate and diverse, educational recreational, fitness and leisure year-round teen program that promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development and fosters achievement, leadership, and recognition of teenage youth. Monitors day-to-day operations of the Teen Program.
Evaluates the effectiveness of on-going teen programs, services and activities, and makes recommendations to the Youth Programs Director on policy and procedural changes to effect continual improvements wherever possible. Administers Teen Program resources. Provides input and recommendations to the annual appropriated fund (APF)and non appropriated fund (NAF) budgets for projected resource requirements. Provides a safe and healthy environment for teens and staff.
Assists in developing marketing strategies to promote and publicize the Teen program and increase awareness and participation.
