The Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Analyst is responsible for assessing individuals to determine their qualification for inclusion in research protocols, evaluating compliance with the regulatory guidelines that guide the conduct of research, assessing and acting independently within scope in response to research related issues, communicating effectively with patients, their significant others, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members involved in research.
The Registered Nurse - Clinical Analyst position is located at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System in Richmond Virginia and the primary duties include but are not limited to: Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age specific components.
Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Follows procedures per established policies and guidelines. Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care.
Screens patients for inclusion in studies, documenting this assessment, providing information relevant to the study, and obtaining informed consent. Supports and lead ongoing regulatory compliance assessments for each study and patient record.
