This Registered Nurse position is located in Gastroenterology in the Medical Specialty Outpatient Clinic at the Manchester VA location. This position is an intermittent position.
Duties are Included but are not limited to: Delivers and manages care for outpatient Veterans, including Fibroscans. Coordinates comprehensive pre-procedure assessments, educates patients and families, and ensures post-procedural care compliance. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to align patient care with the Veteran's goals and overall treatment plan.
Develops, implements, evaluates, and revises clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines based on evidence-based practice. Provides peer feedback and fosters a professional environment that supports continuous learning and development. Patient intake, chart preparation, care management, secure messaging, phone triage, procedural care and vitals. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components.
Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Triage consults and patients as needed. Provide coverage to all clinics within the Specialty Department. Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines. Medication administration using Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA).

Current and former Federal employees must submit copies of their most recent SF-50, (Notice of Personnel Action).
