The Nurse Informatics Registered Nurse leads the planning, implementation, and evaluation of EHR-related systems. They work with interdisciplinary teams across VA facilities and VISNs, building strong relationships at all levels nationwide. The role ensures complex program or service outcomes that demonstrate leadership and improve performance at the facility, network, or national level.
Major duties include, but are not limited to: Provide leadership in planning, assessing, implementing, and evaluating hardware and software systems integrated with the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including program and service leaders at facility and network levels, to support informatics initiatives. Perform core informatics functions, including content management and application support.
Lead health information technology system optimization and enterprise data management. Support business architecture management and partnership management. Build and maintain effective working relationships with staff across all levels of the Veterans Affairs (VA) health system. Ensure high-quality documentation and accountability for program- and service-level outcomes. Lead health information technology system optimization and enterprise data management efforts.
