Job Summary

The Alaska VA Healthcare System is recruiting for one RN to perform duties within the Health Informatics department and serve as a clinical liaison between staff across the organization and the electronic health record (EHR). This Nurse will apply their clinical expertise to optimize workflows, support training and adoption, and ensure the EHR is used to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Major Duties

Exercises leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software applications integrated with the electronic health record (EHR) and associated programs/applications. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including other program and service leaders at the facility and network. Work closely to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of Veteran Affairs (VA) staff nationwide. Assist in directing the provision of education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation. Demonstrates the following core informatics functions to include content management, application support, health information technology system optimization, enterprise data management, business architecture management, partnership management, requirements management, and change management.
