The Dayton, Ohio VA Medical Center is looking for a Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN).
Duties include but not limited to: The Interventional Radiology RN is responsible for direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care and identifying outcomes for patient undergoing invasive procedures in IR. Coordinates patient care delivery to ensure the delivery of quality care per the established standards of practice, policy, and procedure. Provides patient education to assist the patient and/or family in understanding all phases of the invasive procedure process. Maintains knowledge of supplies and equipment used for various cases in the invasive procedures area. Performs the duties of recording, circulating, and monitoring patients in all phases of the invasive procedure. Performs hemodynamic and moderate sedation monitoring, medication administration, and provides pre-and post-care to patients undergoing invasive procedures. Evaluates practice in an ongoing process, based on best evidence. Provides peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement.
