The Nurse III Nurse Manager is the designated first line supervisory authority and is responsible and accountable for the operation of their assigned units and provides coverage for other NMs as needed. The Nurse Manager engages in professional organizations to enhance leadership and career growth. They adhere to ethical principles in decision making, fostering accountability at personal, organizational, and staff levels.
The Nurse Manager contributes to the development of care delivery models and environmental design, ensuring evidence based, accessible, affordable, and equitable patient care, Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. Aligns nursing/clinical objectives with strategic outcomes, participating in strategy planning and execution.
The Nurse Manager maintains knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, Directives, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOP). Provides peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement. Supports colleagues and other nurses through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality nursing care.
Preferred experience: Primary care outpatient clinic setting experience within the last 3 years and 5 years of med surg experience, management experience, facility/contract management, labor management, staffing, time keeping, project management, quality metrics and data management.
