This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. The Nurse Manager, Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) duties include, but are not limited to the following: A Nurse Manager is an expert nurse who demonstrates: Nurse Manager reports to the Chief Nurse of the assigned area. Nurse Managers performance encompasses a combination of clinical, educational, and administrative responsibilities. The Nurse Manager, is responsible and accountable for 24/7 operations of the unit, ensuring that nursing personnel provide timely nursing care which complies with accepted standards of clinical practice. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the documented outcomes at the program or service level.
Program or service level outcomes must be broad and complex and can be demonstrated at any organizational level within a facility, VISN, or VACO. Program is defined as a substantial coordinated group of activities impacting patients and/or employees. The Nurse Manager assumes appropriate responsibility regarding administrative and clinical issues, such as staffing coverage, granting leave, and patient and/or staff issues.
