Quality Management {QM) Consultant Registered Nurse {RN) has position responsibilities that demonstrate experience, and creative approaches to improvement in quality-of-care outcomes. Demonstrate proficiency in practice based on conscious and deliberate planning. Self-directed in goal setting for managing complex client situations. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components.
Major duties include but are not limited to: Collects data, monitors staff compliance with relevant policies, directives, and standards, provides reports detailing trends, and provides direct staff support to all services in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and administering, a comprehensive quality management program area. Participates in facility councils, committees, and workgroups.
Monitors compliance of practice standards (internally and externally). Functions as a back up to the Mental Health Utilization Manager as assigned and maintains appropriate certification. Identifies learning needs to plan and provide education to staff on quality improvement (QI).
Serves as topic expert on the Senior Executive Service measures, clinical guidelines, preventive health indices, The Joint Commission (T JC), and other regulatory agencies, identifying Office of Inspector General (OIG) barriers and recommending processes changes to meet the intent. Participates in Root, Cause, Analysis (RCA's) and Healthcare Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (HFMEA's).
Models effective resource utilization through the delegation of cost-effective care delivery.
