The Dayton, Ohio VA Medical Center is seeking a Women's Health Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) that demonstrates integration of biopsychosocial concepts, cognitive skills, and technically competent practice while providing care to clients.
Duties include but not limited to: Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal care. Manages assigned panel(s), utilizes registries, and ensures appropriate evaluation and access is provided to patient panels. Assists provider with routine gynecology procedures. Participate in quality improvement activities related to provision of gynecology services.
Assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization. Partners with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team to promote effective and safe transitions across the health care continuum. Provide care with Women's Health situations in which they are ultimately expected to perform, integrating theoretical concepts, basic critical thinking skills, and technically skilled practice.
Provides gender-specific health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management. Manage competing priorities.
