Please note: There is no pay associated with this position. This position serves as Without Compensation (WOC) Research Health Science Specialist within the Office of Research and Development (ORD). The VA Research Program strives to promote Veteran-centered care to improve patient experiences and outcomes across VA healthcare and community settings, and to advance value-driven care by providing Veterans the highest quality care at the lowest financial burden.
Major Duties: In this role, the Research Health Science Specialist provides operational leadership and technical expertise for VA healthcare projects, with key responsibilities including: Provide operational support and coordination for the implementation of research and quality improvement projects. Handle project questions and problems independently in coordination with the Principal Investigator. Manage timelines and deliverables for successful completion of projects. Write research policies, guidelines, procedures, and other documents. Prepare project and statistical reports for review process. Facilitate compliance with all regulatory and administrative project requirements. Record data from samples and specimens to ensure that all tracking data is organized and is monitored during the progress of the study. Work Schedule: Intermittent (Without Compensation)
