Job Summary
You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST (EXPLOSIVES) in the NAV SUB SUP FAC of NAVAL SUBMARINE SUPPORT FACILITY.
Key Responsibilities
You will perform survey work to identify and evaluate hazardous and nonhazardous industrial work operations.
Requirements & Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
The specialized experience may be substituted with the following: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), or degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology.
For the GS-7: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement For the GS-09: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
