Job Summary

NIST seeks an individual to conduct research to advance cell characterization and biomanufacturing measurements. Executes stabilization protocols, uses automation/DOE for reference material design, and develops quantitative protocols. Collaborates on standards and co-authors publications. This notice is issued under direct-hire authority to recruit new talent to occupations for which NIST has a severe shortage of candidates.

Key Responsibilities

This position conducts research within the NIST Regenerative Medicine Program to advance cell characterization and biomanufacturing measurements. Assist in the development of mammalian cell characterization strategies Execute design of experiments strategies to generate data supporting reference material development and use Work with members of NIST Biosystems and BIomaterials Division to address mammalian cell measurement challenges and reference material needs

Requirements & Education

This position has an education requirement. Transcripts must be submitted to validate that the education requirement has been met. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package. An accredited organization must evaluate education completed outside of the U.S.
