In this position, you will serve as a Security Assistant providing support to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer's Field-Based Operations Unit facility in Biloxi, MS, ensuring the security of staff, operations, assets, and facilities. The ideal candidate will have practical knowledge of personnel, industrial, and physical security program requirements sufficient to provide administrative and operational support for security functions at the facility.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this Security Assistant position, you will perform specialized duties working within a variety of functional security program areas involving a wide variety of problems or situations. Typical assignments include: Assisting in a variety of clerical functions in support of a vehicle registration program, fingerprinting, and other security tasks. Inspecting security systems, access points, lighting, alarms, CCTV, and fence lines.
Conducting patrols, random vehicle Inspections, physical security surveys, and visual monitoring by designated contractors. Conducting security clearance actions, verifying documents/credentials of internal and external personnel, and protecting sensitive information against compromise. Creating, issuing, and activating Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards according to the requirements of the Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12) program.
