The position is located within the Indian Health Service at various health care facilities throughout the nation. The position performs protective service duties, including guarding federally owned or leased buildings and property, protecting Government equipment and materials, controlling facility access, and supporting public safety. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Key Responsibilities
Patrol building and grounds to prevent property, patients, employees and visitors from the threat of danger. Enforce Health Center parking rules and regulations and monitor parking areas. Provide internal building security by monitoring doors, locks, windows, and examine and report any tampered locks. Uses daily sign in journal making notations of unusual circumstances out of the ordinary.
