The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a MAJCOM security specialist to protect the enterprise from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to enterprise and enterprise mission interests, national defense or national security.
DUTY 1: Administers the Information Security Program protecting the enterprise from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to enterprise mission interests, national defense or national security. Enforces operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of the program for the Air Combat Command Information Security Programs. DUTY 2: Directs the personnel security program to ensure secure accomplishment of the enterprise's missions, goals and objectives through proactive application of security principles, policies, and practices. Enforces operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of the program to include validation of positions requiring access to classified information, processing of personnel security investigations, and establishment and maintenance of Security Information Files (SIFs). DUTY 3: Provides enterprise and subordinate organizations worldwide with authoritative guidance on aspects concerning physical security programs for the protection of classified national security information, both Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral information. Manages the physical security requirements for multiple Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIFs). DUTY 4: Manages the Industrial Security Program. Provides effective guidance, training, and direction to subordinate assigned organizations/activities/units on industrial security program matters. Provides enterprise oversight to subordinate organizations on the visitor agreement process to ensure effective management of their program. Ensures initial facility security clearance surveys of contractor facilities are conducted to determine contractor ability to work with and store classified and sensitive information, including information generated or stored in Automated Information Systems (AIS).
